Delete Your Account & Data — GB Surya Jewellery

This page is for customers of the GB Surya Jewellery savings scheme app who want their account and personal data deleted. You can ask for deletion here, by email, or in person at any of our branches — whichever you prefer.

Request deletion

We send a one-time code to your number so that nobody else can request deletion of your account. Submitting this form does not delete anything on its own.

Prefer not to use this form? Email support@gbsuryajewellery.in from your registered address with your mobile number, call +91 83007 03775, or ask at any branch. All three routes are treated exactly the same.

What gets deleted

Once your request is confirmed and any running scheme has been settled, we delete:

Your app login and one-time-code history.
Your name, email address, date of birth and gender.
Your postal address and pincode.
Your nominee's name and relationship.
Your uploaded identity proof image and your photograph.
Your identity proof number and PAN.
Your device identifier and notification registration.

What we have to keep, and why

We cannot delete everything, and it would be dishonest to tell you otherwise. Indian tax and company law require a business to retain its books. After deletion we keep only this:

Transaction records — receipt number, date, amount, weight credited, rate applied	Statutory books of account under the Income Tax Act and GST law	8 years from the end of the financial year
Your name and mobile number against those receipts only	A receipt has to identify who paid; an anonymous entry is not a valid record	8 years, same as above
The closure or settlement record of the scheme	Proof that we settled with you and that nothing remains owing	8 years

These retained records are locked to accounting use. They are removed from the app, are not used to contact you, are not used for marketing, and are never sold or shared except where the law requires it.

If a scheme is still running

Deleting your account does not forfeit your money or your accumulated weight. If you have an active membership we will contact you to complete it, redeem it, or close it under that scheme's terms, and settle whatever is due to you. Only then is the account deleted. If you would rather just stop the reminder messages, tell us that instead — you do not have to delete your account to stop hearing from us.

How long it takes

We acknowledge and contact you within 7 working days.
Deletion is completed within 30 days of your confirmation, or within 30 days of your scheme being settled where one is running.
Backups roll off within a further 90 days.
