This policy explains what the GB Surya Jewellery Digi Gold & Saving Scheme mobile application and website collect, why, and what we do with it. It applies to the app, to https://gbsuryajewellery.in, and to scheme records created for you at our branches.
1. Who we are
GB Surya Jewellery operates the savings schemes and the digital gold facility described in the app. For any question about your data, contact us at support@gbsuryajewellery.in or +91 83007 03775.
2. What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Mobile number | To identify you and send the one-time code that signs you in. |
| Name, email, date of birth, gender | To create and administer your scheme membership. |
| Postal address and pincode | Required on the scheme registration record. |
| Nominee name and relationship | So the scheme can be settled to your nominee. |
| Identity proof type, number and image | To meet know-your-customer obligations for savings schemes. |
| Photograph | To confirm identity at the counter when you pay or redeem. |
| PAN | Collected only once your total payments reach the statutory threshold of ₹2,00,000. |
| Payment and scheme records | Instalments, dates, amounts, weight credited and the rate applied. |
| Device and app data | App version and a device identifier, so we can keep you signed in and send notifications about your scheme. |
3. How we use it
- To operate your savings scheme or digital gold account and show your balance.
- To record payments and credit weight at the metal rate on the day you pay.
- To send you your receipt, instalment reminders and maturity notices.
- To verify your identity at a branch when you redeem.
- To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
4. Who we share it with
- Payment gateway — when you pay in the app, the payment is processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials.
- Messaging provider — your mobile number is passed to our WhatsApp/SMS provider solely to deliver your one-time code, receipts and reminders.
- Hosting provider — our servers store your records.
- Government authorities — where we are required by law to disclose.
5. How long we keep it
Scheme and payment records are retained for as long as your membership is running and thereafter for the period required by tax and company law — 8 years from the end of the financial year for books of account. Identity documents are retained for the life of the membership. You may ask us to delete data we are not legally obliged to keep: see account deletion.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. One-time codes are stored only as a hash, never in readable form, and expire within minutes. Uploaded documents are stored outside the publicly served area and cannot be executed. Access at our branches is restricted to authorised staff and scoped to their own branch.
7. Your rights
- Ask what data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Have inaccurate details corrected — you can edit most of them in the app.
- Ask us to delete your account and any data we are not required to retain.
- Withdraw consent for reminders and marketing messages at any time.
To exercise any of these, write to support@gbsuryajewellery.in. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at https://gbsuryajewellery.in/pos/account-deletion, by emailing support@gbsuryajewellery.in from your registered address, or by asking at any branch. Where a scheme is still running or a balance is outstanding, we will settle or close it first — deleting your account does not forfeit your money or your accumulated weight. That page sets out exactly which data is deleted, and which transaction records we are required to retain for 8 years under tax law.
9. Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top, and notify you in the app where the change is significant.
